With most of the Leagues kicking off in the last week, we’ve decided to take a look at the teams and which ones have truly impressed – and which ones haven’t. Has Vitality lived up to their ‘super team’ name? Will Uzi be the best player this spring split?

Let’s check out the insights into the first few play days of professional League of Legends in 2022. Who are the best teams to kick off Season 12?

BiliBili Gaming Looks Solid

BiliBili Gaming kicked off their 2022 season against Weibo Gaming. This was the LPL match to watch this week, with TheShy on a new squad and Uzi making his way back to the pro scene after taking a year off – and dabbling in Wild Rift even.

So, who won this match? None other than BiliBili Gaming. It wasn't a clean 2-0 victory, but Weibo Gaming might be chaotic, but they are the 2020 Worlds runner-ups so we didn’t expect this to be an easy game to BiliBili Gaming.

This is a roster to watch out for though. Uzi is a monster and their backup ADC, Doggo is also one of the best young players. How the pair will split time is going to have to be determined.

Vitality Disappointed Fans

Vitality was dubbed the team to beat ahead of the 2022 LEC season. Perkz in the mid lane, Carzzy in the bot lane and Alphari up top. What could go wrong? A whole lot actually.

Vitality ended the weekend 0-3, something no one had expected. This was the team that would bring glory back to Europe. They would be the ones to make it to MSI and Worlds. But after one weekend those hopes seem bleak.

Okay, guys, enough of the dramatics… this is the first weekend and one stumble early on won’t dictate the rest of the season. Vitality has lots of time to still show the skill they can showcase – and we predict they will show that skill!

Gen.G Is Scary

Over the last two years, the only team anyone has talked about coming from Korea has been DAMWON KIA. ShowMaker and Canyon stayed on the squad, while previous top laner Nuguri decided to take time off professional League of Legends.

The LCK has a new super team though and it’s not T1 either, but rather Gen.G. The only building block the team kept was their bot laner Ruler, who has been a part of the team since their Samsung days.

Now he’s got a whole lot of ex-Griffin players on his team and Peanut, one of the most well-known Korean junglers in the world and the team looks absolutely dominant. Will they be able to stay so consistent?
