The 2018 League of Legends World Champion Song "Rookie" Eui-Jin will not be part of Invictus Gaming in 2022. Instead, the well-known player will be joining Victory 5, who will be known as NIP.CN as of 2022.

With Ninjas in Pyjamas making a comeback into League of Legends, the org has decided to merge with Victory 5. So, this year Rookie won't be sporting the black and white of iG, nor will he be playing with TheShy.

Rookie Joins V5/NIP.CN

Rookie joins Ninjas in Pyjamas ahead of the 2022 season. Victory 5 had an abysmal record in 2021 going a whopping 0-16 in the LPL Summer regular season.

The 2021 Demacia Cup also didn't fare much better for the team, but with the help of Rookie at the helm – a seasoned veteran and one of the best mid laners in the world – this could change.

Which Other Players Are on V5/NIP.CN?

Another well-known face joins Ninjas in Pyjamas ahead of the 2022 LPL season and that is none other than former Top Esports and RNG jungler Hung "Karsa" Hao-Hsuan. He's also a veteran player that has managed to prove his skill in the LPL.

Here is the complete roster for Ninjas in Pyjamas:

  • Top Lane: N/A
  • Jungle: Li "XLB" Xiao-Long/Hung "Karsa" Hao-Hsuan
  • Mid Lane: Song "Rookie" Eui-jin
  • Bot Lane: Ying "Photic" Qi-Shen
  • Support: Guo "ppgod" Peng

Ninjas in Pyjamas is still looking for a top laner – hence why many fans are disappointed that TheShy has already joined Weibo Gaming ahead of the 2022 season. Who could be the top laner for NIP?

One thing we can say for sure is that this team can only look forward to improving on their 0-16 record from the 2021 LPL Summer Split.
