LoL Patch 12.01 just came out, but we’re going to take a look ahead at what is to come in the second patch of 2022. What do we already know about the patch and the champions?

Is Zeri going to be introduced to League of Legends, and will we get some changes to our favorite jungle cat in LoL Patch 12.02? Let's check it out!

Zeri Release in LoL Patch 12.02

With the Zeri bio accidentally going live on the official League of Legends universe page, we can pretty much guess that she will be playable in LoL Patch 12.02. She will likely get introduced during the January 7, 2022 livestream.

It seems like she is going to be a very unique champion who will dash all around the map and use energy to charge up her auto attacks. Since she seems to be all about speed, you might want to stack attack speed on her as well, but unfortunately, her kit hasn’t been revealed yet so we can’t be sure how she’ll play.

Rengar and Chemtech Changes Coming Soon

Riot did state that they would be giving Rengar some love early in 2022. Unfortunately, his interaction changes with the Chemtech map won’t be shipped in LoL Patch 12.01, but rather in LoL Patch 12.02 according to Riot Phlox on Twitter.

So if you want to test out a new Rengar, then you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Rengar is going to be quite painful to play until he gets fixed – or the Chemtech map gets removed from League of Legends completely due to his interaction with the Chemfog.

Janna Changes Coming to League

At the end of 2021, it was announced that Janna would be getting a few changes to her kit as well to shift some power from her W and auto-attacks into the rest of her kit. To do this, the balance team has decided to make her Q more powerful, increasing it’s damage and making it easier to land.

This is meant to give her more lane pressure thanks to the buffs her Q received. These changes were meant to come out in LoL Patch 12.01 but were pushed back to LoL Patch 12.02.

All in all, LoL Patch 12.02 looks like it will be bringing some big changes to the game. Especially because Riot seems to be trying to shift the meta in an exciting way, and kick off the new Season with a bang!
